Earlier this year, Samsung threw a wrench into all of the TV technologies floating around, by introducing SUHD. Now, there’s no reason to panic. That’s because the S in SUHD doesn’t really mean anything.
The JS9500 SUHD TV is a super 4K TV, but that’s not what the S stands for. It’s just a TV with a 4K resolution. However, it’s a really nice TV with a 4K resolution. Samsung is using Nano-crystal technology to make that magic and rival some of the new OLED TVs being released. The end result makes the picture pop with bright colors and awesome detail.
That image is also enhanced by multi-zone full array backlighting, which can boost brightness levels when needed. Other features include an Auto Depth Enhancer, Motion Rate 240 technology for sports and fast-moving images, and Precision Black Pro for darker blacks and a better contrast.
Of course, this TV also has the powers to display that 4K resolution. That basically means that the JS9500 can display images with an eye-popping 3840 x 2160 image. Also because it has a curved screen, it boasts a more immersive experience with wider viewing angles.
The JS9500 SUHD TV is also a smart TV. It has an octa-core processor to make that experience seamless. It even has a built-in camera for making Skype calls and controlling the TV with hand gestures. And, naturally, it also has all sorts of web-based entertainment. This is one of Samsung’s newer TVs, which is powered by the open-source platform Tizen. It includes Samsung’s Smart Hub for accessing favorite content and recommendations from one home screen. It also has a slew of apps, including ones that can deliver content with a 4K resolution, such as Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, M-GO, and more.
Other features on the JS9500 include Bluetooth, 3D support, built-in WiFi, four HDMI inputs, three USB ports, and screen mirroring perks for use with a compatible smartphone and/or tablet.
Samsung is selling the 65-inch JS9500 SUHD 4K resolution TV now, priced at $6,499.99.
