Credit to the Windows Home Server folks. They’ve wasted little time issuing a software update to resolve some firewall and remote access issues. The update will provide users with a “trusted SSL certificate” aimed at improving the remote access experience. The certificate allows easier access to the home server from outside the house, reducing or eliminating security warning incidents.
The update also includes a “Delete All” feature to expedite the purging of backup files on the server, as well as some enhancements for sharing and storing to the server.
Details of the update can be found here, while blog writings on the update and other WHS-related topics are best viewed here. Good luck with your update, and let us know how your Windows Home Server experience has been so far.
