Wall sconces are a popular lighting choice for home theaters. They take up no floor space, can be easily controlled with a dimmable lighting system and can add architectural interest to the room.
Cooper Lighting’s new Shaper Fabriqué Series lets you get even more inventive with your lighting. The line of pendants, wall sconces and surface luminaries come in a variety of fabric choices that can be easily modified whenever your redo the room.
The 14 standard fabrics include specialty fabrics from the San Francisco Mart, with colors ranging from eggshell white and chocolate to silver moon and cinnamon stick. All of the fabric shades feature hand-tucked edges to minimize the appearance of hardware and structural trim.
The Fabriqué Series’ modular design allows the electrical contractor to install the electrical components early in the construction phase while the fabric shade is stored until after the final phase is complete to avoid damage or dirt. Shade fabrics, as well as the lamps and suspension options can be modified to match the room décor.
The series is available in Shaper’s standard hardware finishes (up to 18 finishes), including brass, cooper, chrome and nickel for a sustainable design. Lamp options include incandescent, fluorescent (dimmable and non-dimmable) and halogen.
A lighting control system can give the fabrics even more visual impact by dimming and brightening the lamps to the perfect intensity levels. Dimly lit sconces, for example, can provide soft illumination for movie-time intermission, while a brighter setting can show off the fabrics unique pattern.
