You can add another company to Remote Technologies, Inc’s ever-growing list of integration partners. Cooper Wiring Devices recently announced that its Aspire RF wireless lighting control devices are now able to be seamlessly controlled via RTI’s line of handheld remote controls. Communication between the remote and lighting system is facilitated by Cooper Wiring Device’s Aspire RF Serial Interface Programming Module.
The integration partnership gives RTI users another choice in lighting control systems. In addition to Aspire, systems from Lutron Electronics, LiteTouch and others are controllable from RTI remotes.
With the recent addition of Cooper Wiring Devices, RTI’s tally of integration partners is 40, and includes not only lighting control manufacturers, but manufacturers of HVAC components, A/V equipment, motorized window treatments, and more.
The integration of the Aspire system will allow users to control individual dimmers, switches and receptacles from an RTI remote. Users will also have the ability to enact sophisticated lighting scenes. Since RTI remotes are typically less expensive than touchpanel-style controls, Cooper Wiring Devices believes its integration partnership will provide homeowners will an affordable option to lighting control.
The Aspire RF wireless system is powered by Z-Wave technology, which enables the system to interoperate with a wide range of other Z-Wave enabled products.
