While the company continues to expand its product offering, they are also broadening its app features. The company just announced Sonos System Software 3.6, an update that promises more control and more options for your Sonos system.
It’s available now for iOS devices, as well as Android tablets and smartphones — yes, the Android support is also new.
Those new enhancements include music library management, alarms, and even Twitter support. It also boasts improved Spotify integration, as well as the addition of free ad-supported Slacker Radio. Users can also upgrade to the ad-free Slacker Radio Plus or Slacker Premium Radio for $3.99 and $9.99 per month, respectively.
Another new feature is Sonos Labs. This is an area where customers can test out new music services before they are officially launched on Sonos. The company plans to add new services regularly, and also invites developers to become a Sonos Labs music partner.
Last, but certainly not least, the Sonos 3.6 software also adds in AAC+ codec support and the addition of Danish and Norwegian language support.
Be advised that the Sonos Controller is a free download. However, if you already have the iOS version, you don’t need to download it again. The update should be available right on your device, through the App Store.
