Nothing spoils movie night like excessive noise—before, during and after the actual entertainment. We’re not talking about the chatter from your friends and family. The equipment can be insanely distracting to people inside of the theater room, as well as others in the surrounding parts of the house. After all, maybe not everyone is taking part in that feature presentation.
While they can’t do anything about aliens, car chases and other high-octane (loud!) moments, Vutec Corporation is certainly doing its part to make sure that the equipment doesn’t kill the mood. The company says that its ArtScreen Systems home theater screens will start shipping with a new silent motor.
These motorized home theater screens can turn any flat-panel display into a work of art. It can hide your screen or TV when it’s not in use. Then, when it’s time to entertain, you can easily expose the screen at the touch of a remote. Vutec offers an array of frame styles, liners, and artwork choices for reproduction. Even personalized art, custom artwork or photographs can be reproduced to create an ArtScreen. Both recessed and surface mount versions are available.
And that quiet operation is actually a standard feature on this screen, so you don’t have to order anything special. In fact, ArtScreen Systems, Theater Art Systems, and Cinescape home theater screens are all shipping now, with a motor that is less than 45dB(A). Having that type of quiet makes this screen perfect for multi-purpose spaces, such as a living room, basement or any other smaller space. Of course, it even works in larger theater spaces—anywhere you want to put a screen.
“We are very proud of our ArtScreen System product and always enjoy announcements that feature standard upgrades,” says Rick Nealis, Vutec’s national sales manager. “A person cannot hear the new ‘Serene’ motor when standing next to the ArtScreen.”
