Just the other day, our own Grant Clauser was wondering when all of the 4K projectors were coming. When they do arrive for the masses, Severtson Screens will be ready for them. The company just announced a new line of SAT-4K Acoustically Transparent Projection Screens.
Made entirely in the USA, the SAT-4K is designed to deliver the best possible AV experience. The company is offering Impression, Deluxe, and Deluxe Curved configurations, all of which boasts reference quality reproduction of the digital image combined with true fidelity of the original soundtrack.
The surface is the SAT-4K acoustically woven screen material, which has a gain of 1.18 and a 160-degree viewing angle. Designed to be both flame and mildew resistant, the SAT-4K can be had with a maximum height of 15 feet, 10 inches. Custom and standard sizes are also available.
“Made in the USA, the SAT-4K replicates the cinema experience in the home like no other projection screen on the market today,” said Kirk Severtson, Severtson Screens’ COO. “With virtually no seamless home theater size limitations, the entire sound stage can be placed directly behind the screen at the same horizontal axis, allowing the vocals and the special effects to be completely in sync with the brilliant images on display. This will allow for a completely immersive home theater experience right in the home.”
The SAT-4K projection screen line is shipping now. However, the company will be showing off the line at CEDIA Expo 2013, which will be held from September 26-28, 2013, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
