RBH Sound wants to make things easy and clean, with its new in-ceiling speaker series. The newly announced Visage Series has a micro-perforated, edge-to-edge metal grille that’s held on by magnets. That makes for a quicker, easier install that’s pretty covert compared to standard in-ceiling designs.
The Visage Series will launch with a total of four models. The VA-615 is the entry-level model, featuring a 6.5-inch poly-graphite cone woofer and a 1-inch silk dome tweeter. Designed for both whole-house audio and home theater applications, the VA-615 are priced at $329 per pair.
For $389 per pair, there’s the VF-615 (pictured). This one is designed for those wanting a little more, without breaking the bank. It features a 6.5-inch woven fiberglass cone woofer and aluminum dome tweeter.
The flagship Visage model is the VM-615, which packs in a 6.5-inch aluminum cone woofer and aluminum dome tweeter. Boasting quality that should please even the most discerning audio connoisseurs, this model is priced at $629 per pair.
Rounding out the Visage Series is the VA-615DS, for $219 each. This one promises both left- and right-channels from the same speaker, with a dual voice coil 6.5-inch poly graphite cone woofer and dual .75-inch silk dome tweeters. RBH says that a pair of VA-615DS speakers would work as di-/bi-pole surround speakers or you can use them for surround sound applications.
Common features among all four models include pivoting tweeters for better imaging, -3dB/0dB/+3dB sound contour switches, and that frameless design. Also, if you aren’t into round speakers, each one can be outfitted with a square grille.
All four models come with RBH Sound’s 25-year warranty. Three of the four models will start shipping at the end of this month, with the VA-615DS coming sometime in December.
