Panasonic is adding another reason to buy its AX800 SeriesUltra HD TV: Netflix in 4K! The company just announced plans to start streaming the Ultra HD-enhanced service on this specific lineup effective immediately.
If you already have one of these 4K TVs, the new perks should have arrived via a firmware update. Netflix in 4K will be available on the recently announced 65-inch AX900 and 85-inch AX850, right out of the box. Those new sets will be available next month.
Besides having four times the resolution of a 1080p TV, the AX800 Series has THX 4K certification, 2400 BLS (Back Light Scanning, Local Dimming Pro technology, a built-in camera with face recognition, and more. Available as the 58-inch TC-58AX800 and the 65-inch TC-65AX800, this lineup also has built-in Wi-Fi and a host of smart TV features under the company’s Life+Screen platform. That puts all of the apps that you like at your fingertips and offers relevant recommendations as well.
The smart TV features also include access to that Netflix 4K service (with a subscription). This allows views to enjoy 4K streaming for movies and TV shows, including House of Cards and Breaking Bad. Netflix also plans to air Marco Polo, a new original coming this December.

To receive Netflix in 4K, you do need a specific subscription. The $11.99 monthly fee will deliver an Ultra HD image, as well as the ability to watch up to four streams at once.
