Cost should be the last thing holding you back from having a home theater. Projectors, screens, seats, media streamers and so many other components; there is more gear available than ever before. Even better, most of it is actually really affordable.
Optoma wants to make your big-screen dreams come true, by offering the HD161X home theater projector. Designed for movies, TV shows, sports and more, this model is reasonably priced, but that doesn’t mean it’s cheap in any sense of the word. It can actually project awesome 1080p HD images, as well as 3D movies (using the rechargeable ZF2300 wireless 3D glasses, which are sold separately). It even supports a range of non-native resolutions from SD (480i) up to WUXGA (1920 x 1200), thanks to internal scaling.
Other features include the Color Management System (CMS) for brighter images, UltraDetail to make the pictures super sharp, and Dynamic Black for more depth and a 40,000:1 contrast ratio. It also has PureMotion frame-interpolation technology to cut out blurring or image judder and deliver smooth projection during all of those sports, action and other high-octane on-screen moments.
The HD161X home theater projector is easy to install in any room, with a 1.5x zoom and vertical lens shift. It can also be paired with a variety of devices, thanks to two HDMI inputs and a powered USB port. Once connected, you should be able to easily flip between the sources at the touch of a button.
