Just a few days ago, we told you that LG Electronics was showing off the 55-inch 55EA8800, a new OLED TV that doesn’t have a super-sexy curved screen. Now the company is returning to the curve — and boosting its screen size options as well.
LG just debuted a 77-inch Ultra HD OLED TV at IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany. This latest release comes hot on the heels of LG’s 55-inch 55EA9800 Curved OLED TV, which just started shipping.
The new set has a screen that measures 77 inches diagonally, as well as that IMAX-like curvature. It also has LG’s WRGB OLED and Ultra HD technologies. Unfortunately, there are no other details about the TV’s specs, availability or pricing.
“LG was proud to be the first company to commercially launch an OLED TV and we are once again setting our sights high with the Ultra HD Curved OLED TV,” said Havis Kwon, president and CEO of LG Home Entertainment Company. “This 77-inch TV is proof that we will never stop pushing the boundaries and exploring new possibilities.”
