The soundbar category has certainly come a long way. The slim solution was originally designed to give a little boost to the sound coming out of your TV. The quality wasn’t all that great, though. Having a soundbar just made it slightly less crappy.
Now, several high-end manufacturers are making the soundbar a sought-after item. The latest is Energy, who is adding the Connoisseur CS-30 soundbar to its lengthy list of audio options.
This is the first soundbar in the company’s Connoisseur Series. It doesn’t just add Energy-enhanced sound via plug-and-play, but also adds the ability to stream content from smartphones, tablets and other Bluetooth-compatible devices.
The CS-30 has two 0.75-inch textile dome tweeters and two 3-inch polypropylene woofers. Other features include Dolby Digital decoding and a 3D surround mode, as well as removable feet and keyhole mounts for wall mounting. It even comes with its own 8-inch side-firing wireless subwoofer.
Energy is shipping the CS-30 with a digital optical cable. If your TV doesn’t have the proper connection, there is a two-channel analog input.
Energy is shipping the Connoisseur CS-30 soundbar now, with an MSRP of $599.99.
