Bring on the popcorn!
BenQ just introduced a trio of home theater projectors that can put a big picture into almost any space. Perfect for the living room, the media room, or the home theater, the HT2050, HT3050, and HT4050 (pictured) are flexible and affordable. The new home theater projector lineup is shipping now.
As part of BenQ’s Colorific collection, these projectors were designed to meet the Rec. 709 HDTV Standard (the HT3050 and HT4050 only). That perk allows these home projector products to reproduce Cinematic Color right out of the box. No calibration is needed!
Each option in this 1080p home theater projector lineup has BenQ’s six-segment color wheel, an all-new glass optical system, and the company’s CinemaMaster audio and video processing suite. The latter boasts all sorts of motion, color, pixel, and flesh-tone enhancing technologies. All three models can squeeze into smaller spaces because of the short-throw capabilities, which can deliver a 100-inch image at just eight feet from the screen.
Other features on all three models include Maxx-Audio sound on an internal speaker, ISFccc certification, zoom capabilities, vertical lens shifting, and horizontal placement possibilities (HT4050) for flat adjustments. The HT3050 and HT4050 also bring side projection via 2D keystone, for greater installation flexibility.
BenQ has also made an optional wireless kit available. This means that users will be able to stream uncompressed 1080p content to each projector, including 3D movies, up to 100 feet—including through walls.
“Our new HT series marks a turning point in home theater technology,” said J.Y. Hu, vice president of Business Line Management at BenQ America Corp. “By equipping our better and best projectors with realistic Rec. 709 high-definition color reproduction, viewers experience an entirely new sense of content immersion. When adding flexible setup options such as lens shift, side projection, short-throw technology, and full HD wireless connectivity, the HT series presents a value proposition that reshapes our perception of home entertainment.”
BenQ is selling the entire home theater projector lineup now. The HT2050, the HT3050, and the HT4050 are listed at $1,199, $1,399, and $1,999, respectively.
