Most flat panel TVs don’t get wall mounted, despite how relatively easy it is. If you don’t want to permanently plant your TV on a wall, you should at least invest in a good TV stand or TV cabinet to support and show it off.
BDI’s Corridor 8179 TV cabinet stand has the classic look of real wood, but done in a modern style, making it easy to fit into many different decors. Even better, it’s designed to house popular home theater components, including a soundbar, to give your media room a clean, uncluttered look.
With the BDI Corridor, the soundbar doesn’t simply sit on top of the stand in front of the TV’s base. A soundbar can be concealed inside the cabinet into a wide center compartment. The unit includes adjustable shelves and a louvered front to make access easy. You can also use the shelves and front compartments to conceal a center channel speaker and left and right channels.
To enable controlling your hidden components, IR access is provided through the oak or walnut doors. The top of the cabinet is covered in a black, micro-etched glass surface to make it finger-print resistant. The inside of the cabinet is ventilated to keep home theater components from overheating. A cable management system keeps everything neat and orderly under the hood. The back panels can be removed for access, and hidden wheels make moving the unit around a breeze.
The cabinet measures 28.25H x 79.25W x 20.25D inches, the 8179 can hold a television up to 85″ wide.
