Late last year, AudioXperts launched a pair of soundbars designed to sit directly under the TV. The 5122 and 2112 were made to be paired with larger flat panels. Now, the company has introduced the 4TV AC121, which is 20 percent smaller than the 2112.
Designed to hold TVs up to 60 pounds, the AC121 has a smoked glass and aluminum enclosure that measures 32 inches wide and 15 inches deep. Inside that ultra-low-profile cabinet lies a 2.1-channel sound system, with two patent-pending H.A.R.T. (High Aspect Ratio Transducer) drivers, two 0.75-inch dome tweeters and two 4.5-inch SSHO low-profile woofers.
The speaker includes listening modes and EQ settings for both movies and music, Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, and Bluetooth support for wirelessly streaming content to the speaker from a smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth-enabled device. Other features include an Enhanced Dialogue Mode, a built-in swivel base, remote learning, and a backlit, touch-sensitive control panel.
“Our 4TV collection of high performance luxury audio solutions offers an unprecedented combination of audio performance, technology and aesthetic design and the AC121 will build upon that AudioXperts standard,” said Eli Harary, president of AudioXperts. “The AC121 is our smallest 4TV solution yet and users can take great delight in enjoying a home entertainment console that delivers big sound in an ultra-compact form factor.”
The size of the speaker cabinet isn’t the only thing that AudioXperts has slimmed down here. The 4TV AC121 has a much smaller MSRP than the company’s other soundbar offerings. It’s will start selling soon, with an MSRP of $999.99.
