Of course, you probably don’t want someone tracking your every movement seven days a week. In some cases though, having that sort of surveillance can be good thing. That’s the idea behind the latest update for those with Piper home security systems.
This new Life360 integration will add the “Smart Arming” feature to Piper home security systems. This allows users to check in (or out) at the touch of a button. So really, if you don’t want someone knowing your whereabouts, that’s also an option.
If you enable Smart Arming, Piper can notify users when the system is unarmed and no family members are detected in the home. Users can then tap the notification to arm the Piper, without having to open the app.
“Piper users are always looking for smart and efficient ways to protect their families and make their home security systems smarter, whether it is through sensors, smart switches or customizable notifications alerting them to what is happening in their home. That is why we believe Piper and Life360 are a perfect pair—users can protect their families in and out of the home with Smart Arming,” said Jason Domangue, vice president of Piper Marketing at Icontrol Networks. “This partnership brings additional peace of mind to Piper users, who are able to check-in with their loved ones throughout the day.”
Piper users can expect to find the new Life360 features on the company’s application starting today.
