There are certainly a lot of wireless security cameras out now. This type of product can make it easy to keep an eye on your home when away from home—or at least a room. One camera can’t really capture the living room, the kitchen, the bedroom, and the backyard. And if you want to outfit an entire house with wireless security cameras, it can get a little pricey.
Well, not if you snap up a few of the latest wireless security cameras from iSmartAlarm. The company just debuted the Spot, an upcoming wireless security camera that is launching at a very affordable price.
Despite the low cost, the Spot has everything you’d want in a wireless security camera. These compact, WiFi-enabled units can stream 720p video day or night. They even have motion and sound detection, which can trigger alerts to your mobile devices. Other features include two-way audio, a 130-degree field of view, local video storage (up to 64GB on a microSD card), and free cloud video storage.
The Spot also has a few other interesting features, including Sound Recognition, customizable Time Lapse videos, and a voice-guided setup process. That Sound Recognition allows the camera to distinguish between things like a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide (CO) monitor, so it can notify you accordingly. The Time Lapse is unique too, so users can pull together an hour, a day, or a week’s worth of pictures into a clip that runs just a few minutes.
We found iSmartAlarm launching Spot wireless security cameras on Indiegogo, as well as Kickstarter. Talk about covering all of the bases! The Kickstarter campaign is new, but the company has already blown through its $50,000 Indiegogo goal. You can still score the Spot for $49 on either site—at least until the end of each: campaign. If all goes well, iSmartAlarm will start shipping the Spot out to initial backers sometime next month. Once the Spot makes it to the masses, it’s expected to retail for $100.
