Not sure if you’re quite ready to dabble in the magical world of home automation? Technical Consumer Products, Inc. (TCP) wants to help.
The company just debuted two new smart lighting solutions at this week’s 2015 International CES. Both the Connected by TCP and the ColorSpree smart home lighting systems were designed to help consumers make the transition to home automation.
The Connected by TCP collection includes PAR38s, BR30s, down-light retrofit kits and general purpose A-lamp LEDs. The company plans to announce additional items for the product line in the near future, including a new smart plug.
TCP’s ColorSpree lineup will feature A-lamp bulbs that can illuminate any color in the RGB spectrum. These bulbs can be controlled using any Bluetooth-capable device, allowing users to adjust color temperature or dimming levels. The ColorSpree lineup can even be programmed to sync with music.
“With the combined power of Connected by TCP or ColorSpree and any smart device, owners can now enjoy the benefits of LED technology while having control in the palm of their hands,” said Ellis Yan, CEO of TCP. “As technology continues to advance, we believe that lighting should get smarter too. We are excited for the opportunity to show the new ColorSpree system as well as the enhancements to our Connected product line to the members of the press at this year’s show.”
Connected by TCP products are now available at places like Amazon and Home Depot. Individual bulbs start around $19, with the Starter Kit priced at $79.99. Prices and availability for ColorSpree bulbs will be announced at a later date.
