We’ve talked at length about Philips Hue lighting. However, you don’t have to have existing fixtures or lamps to put a little smart lighting into the home. The Philips Hue Beyond can put functional, ambient and mood lighting anywhere you want it.
The Philips Hue Beyond is a lamp, with plenty of Hue smart lighting features. It even has two connected light sources, an uplight and a downlight. Each one is controllable separately via the Hue app, providing tunable white light or color that can match your mood and the space.
Available as a table light, ceiling light or a pendant, the Hue Beyond smart lighting lamp works in an office, the kitchen, the dining room or anywhere else in the house. And like everything else in the Philips Hue ecosystem, the Philips Hue Beyond works with more than 190 third-party apps—but with twice the light.
Other features include notification options (such as when you get email or there’s a change in weather), new scenes, and more. It’s easy to add the system to an existing or new network, as long as the Hue Smart Bridge is in place. Then, download the app and plug in the Hue Beyond device.
“Most spaces in a home these days are multifunctional and therefore they need to be flexible to adapt to what is needed—this is where lighting can really make a big difference,” said Leonardo Avezzano, consumer marketing director of Hue luminaires. “With Hue Beyond, a kitchen table can go from a place to enjoy dinner with the family to a place children can do their homework without affecting the ambience of the room, but with the added benefit of keeping you connected to the world around you.”
The Philips Hue Beyond is available as a table light, ceiling light and pendant light. All are selling now for $399.95, $649.95 and $649.95, respectively.
