A while back, we introduced you to the Philips Hue, an automated lighting solution that can change color. Now, a company named Oni is adding some interesting options into that type of setup, via a new app update.
The Oni: Light Control app isn’t actually new; it’s been controlling Philips Hue Connected Bulbs for a little while now. However, the company just announced a version 1.2 update that adds in a really interesting feature.
The app now has support for NFC Tags. This allows users to set specific lighting settings to specific tags, which can then be placed around the house. Point your phone at the tag and watch the lighting magic happen. Currently, the Oni: Light Control app is designed for use with Windows phones.
The company says that the update has also added German language support and fixed a few bugs. The Oni: Light Control app is available now for $3.99. To get a sneak peek at the update, check out the video below.
