We’ve seen a lot of cool products for the Electronic House that can make the great outdoors even greater. Having outdoor lighting can deliver a pathway to the pool or down a walkway, make it possible for a late-night swim, and even give outdoor areas a dramatic element. Now, we’re putting a spotlight on Hubbell Lighting, who has an interesting option that’s meant to live in the great outdoors. That option is Kim Lighting’s LightVault 8 wireless outdoor lighting fixture.
The LightVault 8 is an outdoor LED luminaire that was designed to highlight foliage, flagpoles, sculptures, murals, plaques and other environmental/architectural areas. The interesting thing about this product is that it highlights those areas using a fully sealed IP68-wired one-piece light engine and Bluetooth. That wireless technology allows you to control and dim the light from any smartphone, tablet or other compatible device. The Kim Remote app even allows you to aim the light (up to 15 degrees in any direction) to a specific area that could use a little extra illumination.
Because it’s made to live outside, this wireless outdoor lighting fixture can withstand the elements. In fact, it’s completely sealed to keep the LED light engine safe from water, dirt, dust and other debris.
Besides using the iOS and Android app, the LightVault 8 can be customized using optional hex louvre, prism lens and spread lens filters. Also worth mentioning is that if you have a power failure or the fixture gets turned off, the dim and tilt state will automatically retain to its last state.
Available in spot, wall-wash and narrow flood in-grade applications, with multiple color temperatures and up to 2,500 lumens of output, the LightVault also has options for flat-lens, half-shield, eyeball, rock guard and directional marker-style housings.
Promising over 100,000 hours of use, Kim Lighting’s LightVault 8 wireless outdoor lighting fixture is available now. Contact Hubbell Lighting for pricing and additional purchase details.
