Sometimes, you aren’t exactly sure where to put a light switch. Instead of having to settle or Spackle, power management company Eaton has created a new portable solution as part of its Wiring Devices line.
The battery-operated Anyplace Z-Wave light switch is designed to save time, money and a lot of heartache. That’s because this one little switch can wirelessly connect up to five different lighting control devices from anywhere in the home.
No controller is needed! That’s because it has that wireless technology built in, so this Z-Wave light switch doesn’t need controllers or even any sort of wiring. Instead, it can be mounted on any flat surface, even in a spot where a light switch doesn’t currently exist.
Once installed, the Z-Wave light switch can actually identify installable devices around the house and sync up with them. It can be used in combination with Aspire RF switches, dimmers and receptacles. And because it’s a Z-Wave light switch, it operates on a dedicated radio frequency. That means that it won’t interfere with WiFi or other wireless devices in the house.
“This switch offers unlimited flexibility in that customers can hold the device in their hand or mount it to any wall surface to dim or turn lights on and off,” said Rohit Udavant, product manager of Eaton’s Wiring Devices business. “The switch’s overall design is also ideal because there is no need to mount the switch where electrical wires run, saving time and money for those who want to install it, especially to remodel the lighting in a home.”
Available in two different attractive styles, the Anyplace Z-Wave light switch ships with two-sided fixing tape and wall anchoring capabilities. For more information on this switch and other Eaton lighting controls and accessories, check out the Cooper Wiring Devices website.
