It’s been over three years since Clare Controls first launched its cloud-based ClareHome automation solution. Now, the company is cutting the cord — on some of its lighting options. The new ClareVue lighting line will start shipping in Q4 2014.
ClareVue allows homeowners to easily add to their existing ClareHome setup, because it uses Z-Wave. That means that all of the dimmers, switches, keypads and receptacles are wireless. Everything is networked together and integrated into the ClareHome setup, making it reliable, affordable and easy to use.
According to Clare Controls, ClareVue can accommodate dimmable LED/CFL, incandescent, halogen, magnetic low-voltage, and electronic low-voltage loads. It doesn’t need special wiring or a dedicated lighting controller.
“The system also offers key advantages to end users,” says David Drab, Clare Controls’ product line manager. “It offers settable trim levels that eliminate flicker and buzz and — depending on the load — can even reduce electric bills by as much as 15 percent. Moreover, ClareVue is also one of very few wireless lighting solutions that provide reliable, near-instant feedback mechanisms that confirm users’ actions. This is a huge benefit, easily recognized by every integrator who has taken calls from angry users who can’t tell if the buttons they are pressing are having any effect in their homes.”
