After a long winter of cold, snow and ice, it’s time to pull out the lawn furniture, pink flamingos, gardening equipment and some new outdoor speakers.
Helping to provide homeowners with that final element that takes their outdoor activities to the next level is Origin Acoustics. Adding to its selection of products, the company has announced its new Seasons collection of outdoor speakers. According to Origin Acoustics, the Seasons line are engineered to meet the requirements of today’s professional system integrator and their clients.
“Considering the input from dealers and consumers alike, we built the Seasons collection with a greater attention to sound quality,” explains Dave Donald, vice president of marketing, Origin Acoustics. “These are not simply background speakers, they are setting a new standard for what can be expected from exterior sound systems.”
The Seasons collection includes six models to create outdoor stereo systems for any yard. The new speakers include single- or dual-channel loudspeaker models. The 50 Series employs a 5.25-inch woofer and the larger 60 Series of products utilize a 4-inch x 8-inch woofer. Both series incorporate aluminum-dome tweeters. The OS56 from the 50 Series and all of the 60 Series models also employ dual-passive radiators that are said to increase bass response, while maintaining the products’ sealed enclosure to ensure protection from the elements.
The products also include Origin’s integrated Conceal Bracket System (CBS) that is said to secure the speakers to any surface. The bracket attaches to the speakers, and once attached the speakers’ end caps snap into place to facilitate the final installation step, which is to hand tighten the speakers’ knob screws.
Origin also offers a choice of three in-ground outdoorsubwoofers that Origin says further augment its outdoor speaker products’ ability to deliver “deep bass and musical thunder.”
