Marshall Headphones has been tempting your inner rock star for years. Now, they want you to live out those fantasies on the go, with the very portable Acton.
The newly announced active stereo loudspeaker may look small, but well — look at it! It sounds as cool as it looks.
Designed for the kitchen, bedroom, office, or wherever else you need to rock out, the Acton features a 4-inch woofer backed by a 25-watt digital amplifier and two 0.75-inch dome tweeters, each of which has its own 8-watt digital amp. Measuring just 10.4-by-6.3-by-5.9 inches, the 6.6-pound speaker also boasts a frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz, with a crossover frequency of 4,200Hz.
This pint-sized portable also packs in plenty of other goodies. Besides being able to stream music to the speaker wirelessly via Bluetooth, the Action also has a 3.5mm aux port. There’s also three analog knobs on top of the speaker, in case you need to tweak bass, midrange and treble.
Available in black or cream, the Acton has vintage Marshall styling and the company’s iconic logo. It’s expected to start shipping on November 3, 2014, with an MSRP of $300.
