Basalte has completed its Asano Native KNX multi-room audio system with the introduction of the Asano S4 music server and the M4 multiroom amplifier. With the addition of these two pieces, the system amplifies and distributes uncompressed hi-fi audio to speakers throughout at home.
With the Asano multi-room audio system, Belgian manufacturer Basalte offers sound in a virtually unlimited number of rooms. Together with the scalability and flexibility of its setup, Asano serves as a networked solution for high quality audio in bigger homes.
The S4 hosts four digital audio streams with extensive room management tools and user profile options. Another unique feature is that a user can stream local content from their iOS device to individual rooms and even to multiple rooms at once. Additionally, a user can listen to their favorite Internet radio stations, as well as access their music library from a NAS. With the Asano App and KNX integration, the user can easily control their music whenever they need it from wherever they happen to be. The app was designed to keep the most important controls on front and center, while keeping lesser-used controls accessible.
Meanwhile, the M4 multiroom audio amplifier is a four-zone model that when combined with the S4 music server, can be used to create a standalone networked audio system for a ‘virtually unlimited’ number of rooms, with the same Asano flexibility and scalability. The M4 has integrated 80-Watt ICE Power amplifiers from Bang & Olufsen.
In addition to being controlled via an app, Basalte offers an eye-catching thermostat–yes, a thermostat–that can be used to operate the Asano whole-house music system. The Deseo thermostat can be set up to also control lights and motorized shades.
All of the components that make up the system feature a sleek, European design that can complement any room decor.
