We’ve seen Bang & Olufsen make some really pretty products over the years. However, those options have always been confined to the home. Now, you can take the bragging rights with you, with the newly announced BeoPlay A2 Bluetooth speaker.
The BeoPlay A2 is actually B&O’s very first Bluetooth speaker — and it’s a good one. First of all, it puts the company’s stylish spin on a very compact device. And to make sure that things stay compact, it has Bluetooth, which allows you to stream music wirelessly from iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, as well as other compatible devices.
Oh, and it lets you do that for a really long time. According to Bang & Olufsen, the BeoPlay A2 has a rechargeable Li-on battery that can deliver up to 24 hours of playtime. Other features include two 3-inch drivers, two 0.75-inch tweeters, two 3-inch passive radiators, and B&O’s own Power Response Enhancement technology.
Another nifty perk is that it has the True360 sound solution, which disperses music to a pretty wide soundfield. There is no actual sweet spot; it’s everywhere!
Available in green, gray, or black, the BeoPlay A2 is made to travel. It has interchangeable leather straps and weighs in at a mere 2.5 pounds.
Bang & Olufsen will start selling the BeoPlay A2 in the U.S. in early November, with an MSRP of $399.
