Tivoli Audio has been belting out retro-looking tabletop radios for years. However, it looks like the company is snagging a little something from the present-day: wireless technology. Tivoli was out at this week’s 2013 International CES, showing off four new products for wireless applications.
First up is the Model One BT with Bluetooth wireless technology. This is the next step in the company’s Model One FM/AM table radio line, adding in Bluetooth. This way, users can stream music from any smartphone, tablet or computer, right to the radio. The Model One BT is selling now for $259.99, in a choice of five different finishes. Those combos include walnut/beige, cherry/silver, black ash/silver, black ash/black-silver and white/silver.
The company has also put Bluetooth into the PAL BT. This portable option allows users to take Tivoli Audio on the go. It also offers radio stations, as well as the same pairing with your Bluetooth-enabled portable. Promising multiple hours of playback on the included NiMH battery pack, the PAL BT can remember up to eight different Bluetooth devices. Weighing in at less than 2 pounds with a minimum 30-foot reception range, the PAL BT comes in black/white, blue/white, white/white and red/white. It’s also selling now, with an MSRP of $299.99
If you have an older radio model, you don’t have to toss it. Tivoli wants you to pair it with the new BluCon Bluetooth Wireless Technology Music Receiver. This device connects to your Tivoli Audio radio or another audio component with an auxiliary input. From there, users can stream content from any Bluetooth-enabled device. Designed to work with all of Tivoli’s products, the BluCon is available in light aluminum, anodized aluminum cherry, walnut, midnight black and frost white. It sells for $149.99.
For something even more portable, Tivoli has introduced Radio Silenz, the company’s first pair of active noise canceling headphones. Featuring the same distinctive Tivoli style, Radio Silenz has 40mm drivers and a closed back, padded on-ear design. Foldable for travel, these headphones come with either walnut, cherry or black ash wood finishes, with an MSRP of $159.99.
As an added bonus, Tivoli just announced its very first app. Designed for iOS and Android devices, the free Tivoli Radio app allows users to easily flip through web radio stations by genre and save up to 10 favorites in presets.
