We’ve been seeing a lot of high-end manufacturers cranking out super-cool headphone options. Now the next big thing is wireless headphones. Bang & Olufsen is the latest to add to your list of contenders, with the newly announced BeoPlay H8.
The BeoPlay H8 is Bang & Olufsen’s first pair of wireless headphones, and like everything else they make, they are quite pretty. The on-ear headphones have a nifty touch interface right on the aluminium clad ear cup. All you need to do is swipe or tap to flip through tracks, answer calls, or pump up the volume. That same controller allows users to turn the Active Noise Cancellation features on and off, so you can choose whether or not to tune out any surrounding noise.
Of course, pretty only goes so far. These things are made to create an immersive audio experience, with wireless Bluetooth 4.0, and of course, Bang & Olufsen sound. Other BeoPlay H8 features include cowhide leather, smooth lambskin and 14 hours of playtime. It also comes with an audio cord in case that’s not enough battery time or you want to conserve power for later.
“With BeoPlay H8, we have taken decades of craftsmanship and innovation and distilled that into one truly amazing product that highlights the B&O Play virtues,” says Henrik Taudorf Lorensen, head of B&O Play. “It is technologically advanced featuring Active Noise Cancellation, Bluetooth 4.0 and an aluminum touch interface never seen before. Combined with the acclaimed Bang & Olufsen Signature Sound, premium materials and the low weight, it is not just another headphone on the market; it is simply one the best product of its kind.”
Available in Gray Hazel and Argilla Bright, you can expect the BeoPlay H8 wireless Bluetooth headphones to be on par with the company’s other products in both style and price. Bang & Olufsen is selling them now, with an MSRP of $499.
