URC is pumping up the power of its Total Control home automation system. The company just announced a trio of new options and accessories for the IP-based home control solution.
First up is the new TRF-ZW1 Z-Wave Extender. As you can tell by the product name, this option adds Z-Wave support into the system — which also means control options for thousands of Z-Wave-enabled products.
“Our new TRF-ZW1 literally opens the door to hundreds of new control options by providing a gateway to allow control of Z-Wave-enabled products,” said Cat Toomey, URC director of marketing. “Our dealers and their customers may now enjoy the convenience of Z-Wave door locks, lighting and more from any Total Control interface including remotes, keypads, touchscreens and smart phones or tablets.”
URC has also introduced a new remote, known as the TRC-1080. The wand-style handheld has a 2-inch color backlit LCD, live video capability, four colored cable box buttons, and a piano black tabletop charging cradle.
Finally, URC is making the system’s two-way third-party IP camera integration even better, by adding support for LILIN IP Video Cameras. In case you’re keeping score, the system also works with Axis, Channel Vision, ICRealtime, Panasonic and Wirepath Surveillance cameras.
