Most of today’s newer HDTVs don’t sound as good as they look. However, sometimes it’s hard to give up that extra space to a full-blown speaker setup. If you want something slim for that audio boost, Pinnacle Speakers has a pair of new soundbars to consider.
Designed in the USA, both the Theater One 2.1 and the T1 PBAR 2000 offer an easy, plug-and-play sound solution. All that each one needs is one connection to your TV and one to a nearby outlet. No receivers, amplifiers or other equipment is needed.
The T1 PBAR 2000 is self-powered, with the left- and right-channel speakers packed inside the soundbar. Pinnacle says that the tweeters are mounted at the left/right periphery to create a wider soundstage. Other features include two woofers, a sub-out jack, and optical, coaxial and RCA inputs. It also comes packing a remote, all of the cables needed to get the speaker up and running, and hardware for mounting or placing on a tabletop.
For something with a little more oomph, the Theater One 2.1 setup has the front left- and right-channel speakers, as well as a built-in 6.5-inch powered subwoofer — all in one enclosure. Other features include patented Diaduct port tubes for that bass output, the TheaterWide driver layout for the wide soundstage, and the remote. It also has RCA, optical and coaxial inputs.
Pinnacle has priced the T1 PBAR 2000 at $599, with the Theater One 2.1 system selling for $799. If you’re interested, you can track down a dealer through the Pinnacle Speakers website.
