If you’re a responsible homeowner, you probably already have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in place. However, that annoying little beep won’t always wake you up from a deep sleep — and it definitely won’t alert you when you’re at work.
That’s why a company named Leeo invented the Smart Alert Nightlight. This newly announced product works in conjunction with your home’s existing smoke and CO detectors. When something goes down, the Smart Alert Nightlight can send a message to your smartphone, all without any monthly fees.
Once you get that message, the app will give you the option to listen to the alarm and/or call local emergency services. And just in case you miss that important message, the app will then alert a set of pre-determined contacts.
The Smart Alert Nightlight is easy to install. Just plug it into an available outlet and pair it with the free Leeo app. The LED-based light can then be controlled via the app or right on the actual device via a dimmer ring. The app also allows users to choose from up to 16 million color options, so that the Smart Alert Nightlight can perfectly match your mood or decor. Other features include options to detect temperature and humidity.
Leeo is selling the Smart Alert Nightlight now, with an MSRP of $99.
