Blu-ray/DVDs

Hopefully the Circuit City in your area is still alive and doing well. If so, expect to walk out with an armload of movies—including ones you’ll probably never watch. The store is promising $8.99 Blu-ray movies, as well as $2.99 DVDs. For $2.99, we could be willing to go standard-def again, but get up at 4:00 a.m.? The jury is out. Just keep in mind that both of these deals are part of the early bird special. Still, your sleep is worth showering your friends with the joy of Tom Hanks (he had two movies in the ad), right? One thing we’re concerned about: the store couldn’t seem to make up its mind, since the ad lists “up to 60 titles” as well as “up to 70.” Either way, they had better not be the ones that are normally $5.99. Otherwise, we’d surely hit the snooze.
