The TV-on-your-PC movement trundles on with the AVerTV Hybrid TVBox 11. For over-the-air HDTV, analog TV, and digital TV beneficiaries, this mouthful of a product presents a neat little package for watching said content on the home PC. Actually, it will convert any LCD/plasma monitor, multimedia projector, or PC into an HDTV. It will also serve as a sort of entertainment hub, with inputs to accommodate camcorders, game consoles, and DVD players to boot. But the best feature (in my opinion) is sending ATSC/Clear QAM over-the-air television to the home PC. A cool picture-in-picture feature allows users to continue working on the computer while watching live television. Customize the window to ¼, 1/9, or 1/16 the size of the monitor, or select “transparent mode” to see your work through the show content. This is a great tool for those who want to work and be entertained at the same time, or to keep up on live news coverage, weather reports, etc. Or heck, just to watch HDTV on the home PC. It comes with a remote-control, too, so that cookie-filled body of yours won’t have to get up.
