With no commercials and no need to wait before you can watch the next episode, is it any wonder that complete season sets have, for many viewers, become the preferred means for watching a favorite TV series? With Blu-ray, the picture and sound have only gotten better and in some cases, they can fit more episodes onto each disc. I’ll be hoping to find a shiny Firefly Blu-ray in my stocking this year, but there’s plenty of great, high-def sets to choose from: Firefly: The Complete Series (Fox), Mad Men: Season One (Lionsgate), Pushing Daisies: Season One (Warner), Band of Brothers (HBO), Lost: Season Four (Disney) and Chuck: Season One (Warner).
