So it’s not going to win any awards for sexy design. That’s okay, because Crestron’s MediaManifold High-Definition CATV Distribution System (MM-DS-12) is destined to grace the plywood in my equipment room. I think of it as a cable splitter on steroids, with each of its 12 RG-6 outputs having its own amplifier, which can be set according to the TV’s distance from the distribution panel, instead of having one amplifier send strong signals to some TVs and weak ones to others. The 12 TVs to match (expandable to 24) can wait until another Christmas.
