Just because I’ve downsized my living space doesn’t mean I should sacrifice good sound—and I won’t have to if I find Polk Audio’s second-gen I-Sonic Entertainment System under the tree. This one has iTunes Tagging, so I don’t have to call a radio station and beg for the name of a song that wasn’t identified. I just hit a button on the front panel of the radio, and song information is automatically stored. Next time I dock my iPod to the i-Sonic, the tagged information is ported over to the iPod—and to the PC when I synch with that. Only HD Radio stations send out the data, but my favorite radio stations in New York all broadcast in HD. At 14.5 x 9 x 4.75 inches, I-Sonic demands its share of table space, but if I replace my old clock radio with it, I’ll have great sound and a second alarm to boot.
