Lisa - Toshiba’s HD-A30

No high-def TV would be complete without a high-def DVD player. My pick: Toshiba’s third-generation HD-A30. This HD DVD player’s specs are impressive.  It outputs a 1080p signal at 24 frames per second, which means it will give you the highest resolution available and in a frame rate that creates a smooth picture. But here’s what’s really sold me: It comes bundled with two great movies, The Bourne Identity (one of my faves) and 300, a flick that’s the epitome of HD. If I bought these DVDs separately, I’d spend around $30 for each, which makes the HD-A30’s $399 price tag especially nice.

Price: $399
