B&W’s 683 speaker is the result of a DM600 S3 redesign meant to increase efficiency, reduce distortion and extend high frequency response. Greater midrange clarity and dynamics stem from the Fixed Suspension Transducer technology featured in the company’s Nautilus 800 Series, while the twin woofers have been beefed up from 100 to 120 millimeters for more sensitivity and tighter bass.
