Hardwood Helps Homeowners Blast Sound

Fabric walls soften up this hardwood-laden basement theater for improved sonic performance. The walls and the other structural elements surrounding the 92-inch Da-Lite screen help isolate the room from the rest of the house. Three of the theater’s seven Triad speakers and two Atlantic Technology subwoofers fire audio toward the seats from behind the acoustically treated cabinets underneath the screen.
