At long last! a home theater with decent site lines for all seats, just like
my late lamented movie house,  apart from the horrible color, this
design brought memories flooding back,  even the seats are almost
the same as the old theatre ones, and they were comfortable!
if it was not for the blue color, (I prefer more of the beige look)
this would rate better than the 8 stars I am giving it,

How does a theater like this win best theater! It’s a big blue blob of uglyness. I guess it won because it has glass from the aquarium integrated into the theater but let’s face it all it takes is money to do something like that. The kind of theater that should win are ones that use creativity and ingenuity in the execution. Anybody can throw money at a home theater and come up with something nice but I admire the DIY or Installer who puts a little thought into a design and does things out of the ordinary. I mean Look at this theater. There is no architectural design or interest. The seating is so utilitarian it’s ugly. There is only one color throughout the entire room. Way to break the mold on that one!

When I first looked at this theatre, the first thing that struck me was how cold it looked, but the more I look at it, the more I’m warming to it. I like the clean, minimalist design, and the use of essentially a single colour is actually quite elegant. I’m not sure it’s my favourite theatre, but it’s clean, elegant, minimalist and functional. Nicely done.

I’m sure I would love watching a movie in here, but it’s not all that spectacular of a room. Take away the pool windows and it’s nothing. I thought it was odd that it was the winner too, but maybe it’s just that not that many people spent over $250,000 on a home theater last year.
