In 2008, when this home nabbed the silver Best Home of the Year award, the electronic lock at the front door was way ahead of its time. A door station features a biometric scanner that grants access into the home my reading the pattern of a visitor’s fingerprint. The scanner was programmed to recognize the fingerprints of only the family.
