Daily Viewing

Briefly describe the objectives in creating this installation.
Young empty-nesters were looking for a daily use system that would also deliver a fantastic music and movie experience for themselves and their visiting family. They wanted the display to be viewable in the daytime with the ambient window lighting. They appreciated music well beyond background quality and wanted it to be enjoyable for long periods.

What technical features are notable in this project?
Their daytime viewing goal was accomplished using new LED backlight technology on a recessed articulating mount to deliver a bright, stunningly detailed picture while still consuming less energy than standard displays - an important feature due to their region’s power conservation efforts and the system’s daily use. It goes without saying; they did not want to have to wait for their grandchildren to show them how to operate it - so they opted for a two-piece RF remote/processor control system.
