Condominium Cool

Briefly describe the objectives in creating this installation.
This condominium remodel had a very clean contemporary design and required that all visible media room components fully integrate into its contemporary interior design. Speakers and the required subwoofer could not be placed or installed in such a manner as to detract from the flow, or lines, within the room. The client insisted upon “European craftsmanship”, simple elegance, and high sound quality in a less than audio friendly space.

What technical features are notable in this project?
A key requirement of the client and architect was that no controls, switches, wires, or other elements be visible anywhere within the space. All audio and video equipment was centrally located in a concealed room and was to be fully integrated into the audio, video, security, and environmental control systems within the residence. Speakers designed for free standing operation had to be recessed, or concealed within custom cabinetry while maintaining the client’s demands for a very high quality audio experience.
