Cozy Hideaway

Briefly describe the objectives in creating this theater.
This theater was intended to provide a comfortable, elegant, and cozy environment for a family of four and their special guests to spend quality time together enjoying movies, sports, and music. It was also important that the décor and the system chosen for this space remain in-keeping with the quality and style choices made throughout the house, but with an added element of flare.

What technical features are notable in this project?
This project features an RTI T2-Cs handheld touchscreen remote, which provides simple and convenient control of the various features of the system and the room lighting via the Crestron lighting control. From a video stand-point, the theater picture is truly state-of-the-art with a Runco Quantum 750 LED projector with motorized anamorphic lens.

The 2.35:1 Stewart Filmscreen has vertical masking panels which allow proper screen aspect ratio viewing of 16:9 materials as well. Acoustically, the room design incorporates a variety of surfaces from drywall (reflective) to cut stone (diffusive) to fabric cushioning and carpet (absorptive). This combination of surfaces in the proportions they have been chosen has provided an excellent hi-fidelity sound environment.
