LogicMark - two-way pendant

It’s a walkie talkie. It’s a PERS device. It’s LogicMark, which offers two-way voice pendants for communicating with an individual’s private caretakers or with emergency personnel.

The GuardianAlert 911 ($200) dials 911 at the press of a button, and the FreedomAlert ($300) can be programmed to dial up to four numbers, such as nurses, neighbors or 911; The LifeSentry (sold with monthly monitoring fee) is a professionally monitored product, much like other PERS systems but with the addition of two-way voice.

The LogicMark products utilize DECT technology in the 1.9 GHz spectrum, a popular solution for many wireless phone systems. Vice president of sales George Kanelos says the full-duplex LogicMark products can cover 10,000 square feet around the base station.
