Celery - computerless email

Despite senior-friendly computers and Internet devices, some folks just don’t want or can’t use a PC.

Celery provides a machine that translates emails into old-fashioned faxes – both incoming and outgoing. A built-in optical character recognition program figures out where to send a user’s hand-written note. For instance, write “NURSE” or “JULIE” or “FAMILY” in all caps at the top of the page, and the system matches the names with recipients stored in a database, emailing the message to the right person or group. Want to tweet? Just write “TWITTER,” followed by your message, and fax away.

Service starts at $9 per month.
