Unity Systems Home Manager

Unity Systems was the granddaddy of home control, with possibly the first touchscreen-based automation system for the residential market.

Well-known for its rock-solid reliability (we hear about many of them still working today), the Home Manager system featured many of the same elements we see in high-end control systems today.

Unity also was famous for its advanced HVAC control system with modulating dampers, and was eventually sold to Invensys. The company was one of the original CEBus developers and a leader in utility demand side management.

Founder Tom Riley was George Bush’s roommate at Harvard Business School and was ambassador to Morocco during Bush’s reign.
