This is a Chief MWHUB holding a Sharp 46” with a Leon Hz-313-LCR speaker attached underneath. The designer for this project was going for the “industrial residential” look and wanted the TV to be mounted to an i-beam, which raised many questions, including “What mount can we use?” and “Where will the wires go?”
We had the builder create a 0.5” thick steel plate and mount it to the i-beam. The wires are hidden in a white plastic tracking mounted to the inside corner of the i-beam. Using the drawings on the Chief website, the builder was able to put the correct hole pattern in the steel plate, so installation of the mount went very smoothly.
Once the mount was in place, the designer decided that he like the industrial look of the Chief bracket and had it painted white to match the décor of the rest of the room instead of using the decorative coverings. The back of this TV is one of the first things that you see as you walk into the room, so wiring had to be extremely neat, as seen in the pictures.
