Vidikron has recently released five new single-chip 1080p DLP projectors, and the Model 70 is the most affordable and versatile of the bunch. It features a newly designed lamp cooling system and the DualV Stage Illumination System for multiple lamp intensities. Vidikron’s all-digital Imagix video processing is integrated right into the Model 70. The unit can be upgraded with the optional CineWide or CineWide with AutoScope technologies to display movies filmed in the original CinemaScope 2.35:1 aspect ratio. With CineWide technology no resolution is lost because every pixel on the DLP imaging chips is used; utilizing every inch of the screen and eliminating the black horizontal bars. The Model 70 meets the standards of the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) to ensure the best possible video fidelity, accurate gray scale tracking and brilliant color reproduction regardless of the source. It is available in a white or graphite gray chassis.
